Ann-Louise Doidge joined the Cawleys team in October 2021, taking over our Hazardous services team. She joined the team with over 17 years of experience in the Waste Industry. Originally with SUEZ, Ann started her career as a traffic controller & administrator in 2004, before working her way up to management in 2006 and eventually covering multiple depots. Having covered other departments as well, such as Customer Account Management and Retention, Ann has extensive career experience as well as holding first aid, NEBOSH General Cert as well as Working with Wellness and fire marshal accreditations. She has been a true asset to our team since joining us.
Our hazardous services team are a small group of 3, Donna Bartaby, Dave Buckingham and Ann-Louise Doidge who leads the team. Albeit a small team, they cover a wide range of waste types from difficult waste collection, dangerous waste, electrical waste, as well as bulk and liquid sewage collections. Common types of waste collected include items like aerosols, toner cartridges, batteries, fridges and much more. The team provides flexibility, capability and commitment to providing quality solutions for companies large or small. The Hazardous team are trained experts that will advise, identify, treat and collect dangerous waste, and recycle as much of it as possible. Craig Dinwoodie works alongside the Haz Team from a Sales perspective as Business Development Manager and came to Cawleys with 12 years experience in the waste Industry, with 10 of those dealing with Hazardous Waste. Craig's support in technical assessment has been invaluable to the team.
Ann’s leadership has brought about some changes to customer service and day-to-day operations of the hazardous team, ensuring that the most efficient service is provided to our customers. Some procedural changes have been made in place for customers collections of certain items ensuring more reliable collections, as well as having team members cross-train to ensure they can maintain high standards of service even in the unlikely event of any unexpected absences from the team.
Overall there is lots of background change going on for the better and Ann has already made some tremendous progression, we're extremely excited to see how the team progress over the 2022 year.
