General Manager

With over 30 years of experience in the processing of waste, Nigel is ideally placed to lead Cawleys as the company looks to further increase the recovery of recyclable materials whilst diverting non-recyclables to energy generation.

Director of Finance

At the financial helm of the business is Simon Platt. Simon, who joined Cawleys in 2011 has extensive experience in the finance sector, including twelve years at Iron Mountain Europe where he managed annual revenues in excess of $3 billion. More recently, Simon spent two years with waste management group Reconomy. This combined experience makes Simon the top man for the job as Cawleys’ Financial Director.

Head of Sales

Lynsey started her career at Cawleys in November 2023, heading up the Sales team. With over 5 years experience in the waste industry and 10+ years managing sales teams, Lynsey’s experience and drive is invaluable to the company. She fosters a culture of encouragement through developing and empowering individuals to evolve and reach their full potential.

Head of Corporate Sales

Dan joined Cawleys in January 2016 and has been involved in many of the biggest new contract wins Cawleys have had during that time. With more than 12 years’ experience in the waste industry, Dan’s key strengths lie in relationship building with new prospects, interrogating their existing waste data and delivering innovative waste solutions to exploit efficiencies from a cost, service or sustainability perspective.

Head of Account Management

Pete has more than 20 years’ account management experience, the last 15 years in the waste industry managing high profile and blue chip contracts. Pete oversees the account management, retention and contract management teams, all focussed on developing bespoke programmes to meet customers specific waste and long term sustainability goals.

Human Resources Manager

Kirsty joined Cawleys in August 2016 and is an experienced HR Professional with over 25 years of experience. She is passionate about all things HR and is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD and MBA as well as a Mental Health First Aider, IOSH certified and Certified Data Protection Officer. Kirsty is working with the management team to progress Cawleys from Investors in People Silver to Gold and handles all the day to day HR, Recruitment and Development requirements.

Hazardous Services Manager/ Operations Manager Wellingborough Depot

Ann joined the Hazardous team in 2021 bringing over 18 years of experience in the waste industry to the Cawleys team. Ann-Louise’s strengths cover an extensive skillset developed from her previous roles in the waste industry. Covering account management, retention and staff development as well as her commitment to continuous improvement which is reflected in the strong team she has built-in the Hazardous services.

Transport & Depot Manager Milton Keynes Depot

Prior to joining Cawleys in June 2024 as Transport & Depot Manager at Milton Keynes, Michael was Managing Director for D&M Removals & Logistics for 13 years. During that time, Michael gained his certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage and has been a qualified Transport Manager since August 2023. Before starting his career in the logistics and waste industry, Michael served in the police, as a Special Constable, Response Officer and was promoted to Traffic Officer which he did for 6 years. He has a passion for success and promoting empowerment.

Commercial Support Team Leader

Justyna started her career at Cawleys in 2011 as a Recycling Operative and has been climbing the internal ladder ever since. In 2016, she joined the Sales Administration team and transferred to lead the Commercial Support and Broker Team in 2020.

Customer Services Team Leader

Louise joined Cawleys in August 2014, starting as a part time member of the Customer Services team. She transferred to a full time position five years later in 2019 and is now the Customer Services Team Leader. During her time with the business, Louise has worked on various projects, including retention.
