Our MRF Making the most of your waste

Managing Director
With his roots in waste management and collection, Phil is ideally placed to lead the Cawleys team. Phil’s combined waste management and logistics expertise means our fleet of vehicles and team of drivers deliver the customer experience that’s second to none, each and every time.

Simon Platt
Director of Finance
At the financial helm of the business is Simon Platt. Simon, who joined Cawleys in 2011 has extensive experience in the finance sector, including twelve years at Iron Mountain Europe where he managed annual revenues in excess of $3 billion. More recently Simon spent two years with waste management group Reconomy. This combined experience makes Simon the top man for the job as Cawleys’ Financial Director.

Operations Director
With nearly 30 years of experience in the processing of waste, Nigel is ideally placed to lead the processing division as we look to further increase the recovery of recyclable materials whilst diverting non-recyclables to energy generation.

Amanda Clark
SHEQ Manager
Experienced SHEQ Manager NEBOSH qualified in both Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management.
I have over 15 years industry experience and have worked within various industries including Manufacturing, Engineering, Further Education, Private Healthcare Settings and the NHS.
I am passionate about health, safety, environmental and regulatory compliance, and my aim is to support businesses ensuring those involved in its operations do so in a safe, healthy and environmentally acceptable and responsible manner.

Pete has more than 20 years’ account management experience, the last 15 years in the waste industry managing high profile and blue chip contracts. Pete oversees the account management, retention and contract management teams all focussed on developing bespoke programmes to meet customers specific waste and long term sustainability goals.

Ann joined our Hazardous team in 2021 bringing over 18 years of experience in the waste industry to the Cawleys team. Ann’s strengths cover her extensive skillset developed from her previous roles in the waste industry, covering account management & retention, and staff development as well as her commitment to continuous improvement which is reflected in the strong team she has built-in our Hazardous services.

Kirsty Dwan
Human Resources Manager
Kirsty has been with Cawleys for 6 years, she is an experienced HR Professional with over 25 years of experience. She is passionate about all things HR and is a Chartered Fellow of CIPD and MBA as well as a Mental Health First Aider, IOSH certified and Certified Data Protection Officer. Kirsty is working with the management team to progress Cawleys from Investors in People Silver to Gold and handles all the day to day HR, Recruitment and Development requirements.

Dan Tebay

Dan joined Cawleys in January 2016 and has been involved in many of the biggest new contract wins Cawleys have had during that time. With more than 12 years’ experience in the waste industry, Dan’s key strengths lie in relationship building with new prospects, interrogating their existing waste data, and delivering innovative waste solutions to exploit efficiencies from a cost, service or sustainability perspective for these new customers.
