Cawleys Coronavirus Decontamination Service
As we continue to fight a global pandemic with social distancing and lockdown measures changing the way we live, act and work, is now the time to consider how to make your workplace as safe as possible when the time comes to return?
COVID-19 is a disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 Virus and is totally new to the human race which means there are no current medicines or anti-virus treatments that can treat it, leaving us all very vulnerable. It’s also tough and difficult to detect due to the fact that different people have different symptoms which are shared with more traditional flu-like illnesses. Indeed, some people do not have any perceivable symptoms at all and are at greatest risk of carrying and spreading the virus without knowing it. This is why staying at home and controlling the amount of contact we have with each other is the main way to fight the virus from spreading.
Ensuring your premises is safe
COVID-19 is resilient and has been reported to be able to survive for a number of days on surfaces, especially in the cooler temperatures. Having spoken to several of our customers, there have been many questions around how they can ensure the virus does not remain on surfaces within their organisations, and how to deal with items an infected person could have touched, such as tissues, wipes and waste? Thankfully there is guidance on rubbish and the requirement for double bagging for 72 hours before collection, but for affected surfaces it is vital that cleaning takes place at a much deeper level.
Haz waste experts
As an experienced waste business, Cawleys has many years of expertise in dealing with hazardous waste and materials, and we are now delighted to be able to extend this expertise to offer a new service to help those who wish to ensure their premises and surfaces are safe - Virucidal Fogging Decontamination.
Our Virucidal Fogging Decontamination service incorporates the use of specially trained and equipped personnel who are able to work safely in an airspace with a Non-Toxic Virucide which covers all surfaces using Ultra Low Volume Fogging machines. Deploying the treatment this way acts in the same way as smoke. The substance is administered in a fine mist and is therefore able to penetrate recesses and crevices ensuring total coverage.
Our fogging decontamination service for coronavirus
The Virucide mist is safe for electrical devices and the equipment used includes handheld foggers which allows our team to point the mist directly at specific areas, as well as compressed air-driven drum based deployment that can cover an entire work space.
Our service is able to effectively treat 200m3 per hour with a team of 2 and is available for use on all types and sizes of premises, from the smallest office, to the largest warehouse.
The Virucide takes 1-2 hours to be effective and the treated room needs to be clear of any other personnel as specialist breathing apparatus is used to be able to work as treatment is given. We can perform the treatment at a time that suits you, even out of hours between 18:00-07:00 overnight or on weekends to minimise disruption.
Although at the time of writing lockdown has not yet been lifted, now is the time to consider your return to work strategy and evaluate the measures that need to be taken to ensure the safety of your teams and customers.
Our service is suitable for almost any type of business and the Virucidal agent used is also able to disinfect other viruses as listed below and is safe on food contact surfaces.
