Lodge Farm Business Centre welcomes Cawleys back after 20 years
Lodge Farm Business Centre is a family run local business that has been in operation since 1985, and it is currently owned and operated by PJ Sawbridge & Sons Ltd. The facility offers individual units to local businesses wishing to take advantage of the great location, modern interiors, and environmentally friendly facilities.
Cawleys originally worked with Lodge Farm Business Centre more than 20 years ago and we are delighted that the relationship has now been rekindled with a fantastic new partnership that will see both organisations’ family values come together to ensure all of the business park’s waste is recycled.
The team at Lodge Farm pride themselves on their green credentials and the units on site are powered entirely by electricity generated by the on-site solar farm. The relationship with Cawleys furthers the organisation’s green credentials. All waste collected on-site will be delivered back to the Cawleys’ depot where it will be sorted and segregated to ensure all recyclables are extracted and put to good use. Any elements of waste that are not suitable for recycling will be baled and sent for conversion into energy.
Cawleys and Lodge Farm are both local family run businesses that have an ethos on sustainability and longevity. The Sawbridge family has farmed in Hanslope and Castlethorpe for six generations. When Lodge Farm was acquired in 1981 and the farm became fully arable, the family were left with a number of traditional farm buildings that were no longer fit for purpose. Philip Sawbridge took the opportunity to develop these barns into business premises and these are now complimented by new purpose-built industrial units and offices. The old barns have been renovated to a high standard and the new purpose-built units have been developed in the theme of stone and red brick buildings in keeping with the local surroundings.
Commenting on the partnership Philip Sawbridge said: “We are delighted to once again be working with Cawleys. We are both family businesses that have a strong affiliation with the local area and community and it’s great to be able to give business to a local organisation that has such a strong environmental focus.”
