New year new structure!

As we move into 2022 Cawleys will be undergoing some restructure changes at both a Board and our Senior management level.

Firstly Nigel Ingram has now been appointed to the Main Board as and from 1st January 2022. Our processing department is extremely important in the business and Nigel’s role along with Javier, Ian and Alan is to run our processing department in a very forward-thinking fashion, ensuring maximum MRF availability, increasing recovery, proactive maintenance and looking at new technology to aid recovery and general performance. We have many customer visits to the MRF, and these are a great opportunity for the people to see what Cawleys can offer. Nigel brings a wealth of experience in the Waste Management and Recycling sector and sets a fine example of the high quality of service we are committed to here at Cawleys.

The second board level development will see Anna Cawley take up the new role of Strategy and Communications Director.  This acknowledges Anna's long experience with the company and demonstrates how important business strategy has become as it demands a more focussed attention at Board level. Anna's role will have an initial focus on developing the Carbon Reduction Plan for the business.  Climate change is an important issue and we have the plans in place to ensure we proceed quickly and smoothly to carbon-neutral and then net zero status.

These changes at board level are complimented by two significant promotions in our Senior Management Team. Kathryn Wright has been promoted to Sales Director and Pete Grieg has been promoted to Head of Account Management. These appointments take effect from the 1st of February.
