Waste World Cup 2019 Shield Winners
Last Friday the waste industry’s premier sporting event took place in Beaconsfield and Cawleys were delighted to be part of the action.
The Waste World Cup which combined a great day of football with quality networking, involved an exciting mix of thrills and spills in the glorious July sunshine.
Numerous waste companies including, Cawleys, Biffa, Viridor and many more took part and we're proud that our team did so well.

The day started off a little questionable with a couple of losses to Biffa and Viridor before the team found their feet and enjoyed a fantastic 4-0 win against MBA Polymers.
After a couple more group games, Cawleys finished 5th in the group meaning that the shield competition was in our sights and the hunger to win really set in.
The semi-finals saw us beat Smart Net 2-1 and the fantastic nail biting final ended in a 3-0 victory against London Energy!
The team were delighted with their performance with special congratulations going to Marcin, both Daniels and Nick, who all scored fantastic goals.
